Every Meera creation begins before the first line is drawn.

It begins with a fabric: its texture, its weight, the way it reflects light and the way it moves. Rather than selecting a material to fit a predetermined design, Meera often allows the fabric itself to suggest what it can become.

The material leads the design

A fluid silk may inspire the movement of an abaya. A delicate chiffon may become a light, layered element. A more structured fabric can define the architecture of a kaftan.

This dialogue between material and form is at the heart of the Meera creative process.

Once the direction of the garment has been defined, proportions, volumes and details are developed around the characteristics of the fabric. The aim is not to transform the material beyond recognition, but to allow its beauty to remain visible in the finished piece.

Crafted in Italy

The design then moves into the hands of Italian artisans.

Cutting, construction and finishing are approached with precision, respecting both the material and the intended silhouette. Each stage contributes to the balance of the garment: how it falls, how it moves and how it feels when worn.

Because Meera works with carefully selected fabrics and limited quantities, this process naturally leads to creations produced in very small numbers and, in selected cases, to unique pieces.
